Any information/contacts re: James SPARROW, b. 1829, probably in Quebec - possibly in Huntingdon/Gore area. (SPARROW brothers James, Jonathan, other?, came to Quebec in 1824; James [b. 1781 Londonderry, IR, m. Martha DOUGLAS(S)-her name and Mary Ann's are apparently coincidence - and Martha were parents of James, b. 1829.) James married Mary Ann DOUGLAS(S) ca. 1850; she MAY be daughter of John DOUGLAS(S). Children (all apparently born in Quebec or Ontario between ca. 1850 - 1869) were: Robert, Matilda, James, Catherine, Ellen Eliza Jane, Benjamin, Margaret, William. Mary Ann died 1870, James remarried, one son, Fred, b. 1875. James is listed in 1871 Ontario census as living in Mersea, but probably lived before this time in Wheatley/Leamington area. James came to Wayne County, MI, in 1880 to live with daughter Ellen GERMAN. Surname SNODGRASS is connected to above families, but don't know how yet. Will share any information; thanks.
