I'm related to James Perry through Rhoda Annah Perry who is my paternal great-grandmother. I'm fairly new to this so don't particularly have anything on James Perry...my father does remember James Parker Perry from when he was a young boy. Rhoda and William King did have twelve children and if your interested I can send you that information ( I noticed on ancestry.com you just had one offspring, Daniel, who is still living I believe.) I will check to see if there is anyone with additional info on James Perry the elder.
I'm actually interested in finding out more about the John Gates/Elizabeth Powley issue, since if they are blood related the Powley side opens up a lot more avenues than on the Perry or King sides.
