I appreciate this info. I'm wondering how long the group your family members are a member of has been in existance? The McFarlands I'm tracing would have come to the US in the late 1800's or early 1900's.
They came to the US from somewhere in Ontario. It is possible they came from near Toronto. I'm told that some returned north to Alberta or Saskatechewan. Does this mesh with your relations?
