Thanks for the reply and information. James Raynard, Jr. was my gg-grandfather. His granddaughter (my grandmother), age 92, has given me some anecdotal information about him based on her recollections but not much more. I have managed to acquire a reasonable amount of information about the original Raynard's and their descendants, but no pictures to date. I would be endlessly grateful for the chance to acquire a copy of the picture of James and Catherine if it is possible. Catherine outlived several of her ten children, some of whom are buried in Freeze cemetery in Idaho.

When I was first researching your great-grandfather's branch I was naturally surprised by his marriages to both of the Brown sisters. Your great-grandfather's daughter from his first marriage, Laura Ann Raynard, was quite close to my great-grandmother, Katie Raynard. Thanks again.
