Great-grandfather "Harry" Hamilton (probably a nickname) traveled to S.E. Alaska, family from Ireland (probably today's Northern Ireland), Protestant. Worked in Treadwell Mine in Douglas Alaska and died there between 1889 and 1895. He was married to Haida woman named "Jenny". Family may have returned to Howkan (Jackson) on Prince of Wales Island following Harry's death. A sister came to Alaska to see about the well-being of Harry's two daughters, Maggie (Margaret) and Nellie. Do not know sister's married name (if married). Would like to hear from anyone who has this story in their family.
