Hi Ray
I have Marianne Maclean's book "People of Glengarry"
She lists a number of emigrants on the ship Fanny which departed Greenock Scotland on 28 Aug 1832 and landed in Canada. A group of those passangers were from Bracadale, Skye.
She mentions that John Cameron and his brother Angus travelled with their nephew Norman on this ship. Norman later returned to Scotland and brought his father back to Glengarry, Ontario. Although the text isn't quite clear, it appears that Donald Cameron, father of Norman and brother to John and Angus, migrated sometime after 1835 with his wife, six children, and another six families from the area.
John Cameron went on to marry Anne Macdonald, daughter of Norman Macdonald and his wife Margaret, and two other daughters Mary and Catherine, who had all migrated on the Fanny at the same time.
I hope this helps
Kim
