Five of my great uncles[MacMillan]migrated to Wisconsin in mid 1800s, one becoming a Mayor of LaCrosse[Alexander]and owner of the Black River Logging Company, having the first log raft down the Mississippi..

Many Camerons and MacMillans from SDandG. settled in Wisconsin, later 'going west'to seek new ventures. Donald John Cameron, son of John Cameron[and Nancy MacIntosh], Lot 6, Concession 4, Cornwall Township, Stormont County, Ontario, was born in 1828. This Donald J. Cameron was the grandson of John Cameron of Clunes[1725-1824], and Mary Cameron of Glen Nevis [1739-1830] John Cameron and his parents are buried[tombstone]in a small graveyard[tombstone]Lot 6, Conc. 4, Cornwall, Ontario.
