Dear Jacqui:
Did you ever see your friend's book of B,D,M early 1800s? I too am related to McDonells, Macdonald, McDougalds and MacGillis (all Catholic) from Knoydart who emigrated 1815 and prior. I wrote to you previously about our planned holiday in Knoydart October 2013 and would love to look at this book and see any local sights such as the graveyards. I heard my grandmother talk about the Sandaig MacDonalds and Scotus. She remembered vividly speaking with her great grandmother who came from Scotland on a boat as a child and spoke only Gaelic. My grandmother grew up with her grandparents and great grandmother in an area in Glengary County, Canada known as Little Knoydart. Wish I had paid more attention to her stories! Looking forward to our trip.
