My Gillies are enumerated in the '41 census, '51 census and '61 census for Ardnamurach. I've attached the '81 census as a jpeg (I don't know if you will be able to view it). My Gillies are entry 10 on the jpeg and living in the two room house (could be the house that's remains the most visable in the ruins). My Gillies were John Gillies (b. between 1792-1796) and wife Margaret McLellan (b. bet 1797-1801) with children Flora (b. bet. 1817-1821), Catherine (b. bet. 1817-1821), Anne (b. bet. 1821-1826), Jessie or Janet (b. abt. 1827), Marion (Meron) or Sally (b. abt. 1830), Mary (b. abt. 1831), Christian or Christy (b. abt. 1833), Margaret (b. abt 1834), Catherine (b. May 11, 1835), Archibald (b. May 30, 1837), Isobella or Belle (b. abt 1839), John my 2nd great grandfather (b. March 14, 1841) and Marcella (b. abt. 1843). It is thought that after their parents died John, his brother Archibald, Archibald's wife Christine MacEachan (her family was from Arisaig), and his sister Marcella emigrated to Glengarry County, Ontario, Canada. They first settled in Charlottenburgh Twp. and then moved to Lochiel Twp. I'll try and attach a jpeg of John (b. 1841). I'd welcome any ruins photos or information you might have on my family.
