Alexander (Roy) Mcdonell was born abt 1769 in Scotland(?). In 1785 he and his wife (name unknown, b abt 1763) lived in Charlottenburgh with no Children. Between 1790 and 1801 they had eight children.

Alan - b abt 1797 - went to 17/13 East Nissouri, Oxford, Ont.
Donald - b abt 1799 - went to 7/9 East Nissouri, Oxford, Ont.
James - b abt 1800 - went to 10/30 (?) East Nissouri, Oxford, Ont.
Hugh - b abt 1801 - 13/6 Lochiel, Glengarry, Ont.

Donald (my gg-grandfather) married Sarah Cameron in East Nissouri, Oxford where he lived and died on lot 7, con 9. From there I can trace the family in Canada to my father's birth in Thamesford, Oxford, Ont.

Believe I have additional information on Hugh, but am missing a concrete link to his parents or siblings.

Also know a little more about James and his family in Oxford county.

My "brickwall" is finding the link to confirm Alexander is Donald's father. Any information or leads will be greatly appreciated.
