I saw those original lot numbers on the list, but since you said the concession numbers had changed over time, I couldn't be sure they referred to the cluster of Grant lots on which John J. Grant was living.
I wish I could go up there to look at that original map and visit John Johnson Manor House, but it seems unlikely. I live 50 miles east of NY City and at this point don't even have a passport. Since 9/ll, I can't visit Canada without one.
Do you know whether there are people who do research at the Johnson Manor House for a fee or a donation?
Meanwhile, I'll see what I can learn online about the Grants in the original 2nd concession.
