Yes, I've seen the McNiff list, but I think the numbering must have changed over time because Barb on this board was able to send me the abstract for the East half of Lot 15 2nd SSRR and the Crown Grant date was 1803. Another lot in that section that she was able to send was granted in 1804. And in 1803, the East half went to a John Grant.
The only other explanation I can think of if the concession numbers didn't change after 1786 is that the two Jacobs abandoned their claim and the Crown made it available to other settlers.
