Jay, I realized after I wrote that comment that I was looking at the wrong Ann. But even so, I wonder if the editor's note is correct for the Ann I was looking at? If so, it means that there were two Ann McDonells married to two Alex Grants in Charlottenburg at the same time. And there's yet another couple with the same names who had a son named John baptized at St. Andrew's in 1830.
No wonder we are all going crazy sorting them out!
