Great news Anne . My ggggrandmother Flora McDonell also received land as a DUE [her husband Robert Young of the Queen's Rangers --- who's commanding officer Sir J G Simcoe originated UEL status ], her father being Allen "Buidhe" McDonell of the KRRNY had settled with his son [Flora's brother ] Alexander "Bane" McDonell on Lot 23 Con 9 Charlottenburg [ half mile from Ann/Nancy McDonell's plot that you found at Munroe's Mills ]. A cousin of mine located Flora's Land Petition in the National Archives Ottawa [ I think ?], and it was attached to a sworn letter [before a Justice of the Peace ] signed by Flora's uncle Roderick "Rory" McDonell and James Clark both KRRNY that Allen McDonell had also served in the KRRNY . It may be worth another trip to Ottawa to track down Ann/Nancy McDonell's Land Petition which may have some similar attachment . Many Thanks Anne .
