Good Morning Ladies . OK I have located John J. Grant and A. J. Grant Lot 15 SSR II on Beldan Atlas Map . I then went to McNiff's List Land Holders 1786 and looked up this lot which was held by Jacob Lautwine and Jacob Merkley originally . Lewis and Donald Grant held Lot 13 SSR II . Archibald Grant and John McDonald held Lot 14 SSR II . Allen Chisholm and Donald Grant held Lot 16 SSR II . All of these men were "1st Settlers" and this is a nice nest of Grant , but there is no reason to believe they are directly related to John Duldreggan Grant and his oldest son Alexander Alex Grant [also 1st settlers ] who had Lots 25 and 26 SSRR at Cashion's Glen . McNiff's Map is huge and located at Norwesters Museum Williamstown . The land records for your Lot 15 SSR II may be located at Sir John Johnson Manor House [ as may be Will documents ], also in Williamstown . They are open in the summer and are worthy resources .
