Peter fought for the KRRNY in the revolutionary war (he is not Sgt. Peter Grant, but was a Private). He settled on Lot 10, 1st Concession after moving from Sir John Johnson's land (he paid rent there). Peter's name is on that lot on McNiff's Map. Peter Grant's son, John, lived on that same lot as well and it was referenced in the Land Petitions of John Grant's children who applied of DUE and SUE land. I am working with the folks at the St. Lawrence Branch. John Grant is buried in the Summerstown, Salem United Church.
Thanks Anne for your help.
