Surnames: Kennedy, MacDonell, Kenedy
I have decided to start working on Find A Grave pages for the three cemeteries of Alexandria, (and surrounding cemeteries when possible). This can be very useful for finding ancestors. So instead of hunting each family down on these board I am going to post about the stones and the families I have found. If anyone has any information on the people, that I can add to their pages, and any family information please let me know. :)

I'm going to start with the older stones and work my way through, most because the newer ones are easier to find out about at this time.

Behind the church next to the cremation wall, separate from the rest of the cemetery there are four stones. At least three of them are from the 1800s, and hard to decipher. The first one (they are all facing the same way) say John B Kennedy (I haven't been able to decipher much more yet). Beside it there is a stone with no markings at all. Next, the stone says John, son of John of (Inn?) MacDonell Died May 28 185? (i believe it is an 8). The final one says Anne Kenedy (with only one N) the sides are very worn away. but I can make out ________ of ____ McDonald born ??? 11 1834 died ??? 14 1884.

I have pictures of course if anyone would like to see them.
