Seeking information on Alexander MacDonald, b. (about 1787?) in Inverness-shire, Scotland, emigrated to Glengarry County, Ontario, Canada, as a boy. He was a cousin of "Big Finnan" MacDonald (son of Angus), who wrestled a buffalo to the ground and had an Indian wife. Alexander and his children were said to all be buried at St. Raphael's. Most of my info comes from a couple of old letters - there are certainly omissions, and probably errors. Particularly want names of Alexander's parents and wife, birth/death dates; and his son Archibald's birth/death, and the maiden name of his wife, Mary; any other info appreciated, too.
