m. 10 Nov 1836 Martha Adair, b.1811.
1st child, Nancy, b. 4 Aug 1837 d. 10 Dec 1837, bur. Ireland. 2nd child William Wallace McFaddan, b. 30 Jun 1839 Ireland.
In Samuel's diary, the family left the pier at Belfast on 6 April 1840 on the Robert Kerr for Canada. They traveled to the township of Wolford in Ontario where Martha's brother John Adair joined them from New York.

I have not seen the 1851 census,
nor the Passenger List 1840 "Robert Kerr" to Canada,
but would Martha Adair (McFadden) b.1811 be related,
perhaps a sister of William Adair b.1809 ?
