I appreciate your answer. I'd wondered if James D. Watson was related(nephew?) to my John Watson,b. NY,> parents born in Durham, England.(All John's children were born in Hastings.) He had siblings born in England, NY, and possibly unknown few in NY & Hastings. I found the children in the family in English church records and in commenced naturalization application in NY. Henry Watson b. NY was one of the NY sons that his father mistakenly put on his naturalization application. Then, someone drew a neat line through the NY born sons leaving only the English born sons on the application....that was never acted upon. I'd wondered if James D. Watson b. Hastings?, was related. I'd found my William Watson, b. in Hastings, moved to Michigan for 1870 census living with a James G. Watson in Prairie Ronde, Kalazamoo, MI in 1870. I wondered if James G. could have been the one listed as James D. Watson in Hastings (Belleville?) in earlier records. It sounds like not. Please advise.
This family was Wesley Methodist from England to NY to Hastings.
And it appears there was more than one Henry there at that time. Idonna
