Hi Ruth:

I have been just reading your replies to Jim concerning your Hewitt family.
You mentioned that this family lived in Ethel, Ontario. This little town is south of Brussels and is in Grey Township. It is possible that your relations were buried in the cemetery situated in Ethel. (The funeral notice might have been incorrect) I believe that it is called 'Mount Pleasant Cemetery'. I am sorry that I do not have the transcriptions for this cemetery.....perhaps another query might locate someone else who holds this data and could do a check for you.
As a point of interest, I see from the Huron County Marriage Registration Index (Vol. 1, #196) that a Johathon Hewitt, son of William Hewitt, residing in Grey Township, married Mary Gill, d/o Joseph Gill in 1867. Could this be your family as it is evident that this Mary was not a Richardson???.....Just thought I would pass along this fact.
Good luck,
