I have to ask, where is "Blightly"??!! Spain sounds warmer, especially to those of us in Northwestern Minnesota, who have spent the last few days watching the snow blow into large drifts!! We like to say it makes us "tough"!! :-)
I have seen this family associated with William in another tree on Ancestry - the birth date of William is different, but close, and I am very aware that birthdates on tombstones are not always correct. (His tombstone lists April 24, 1829). I sure wish the birthdates were exactly the same, but it never goes that way in genealogy, does it?!
I have absolutely no idea how to determine if this is my William. Absolutely nothing "physical" exists of him other than public records, one photograph and a cemetery marker.
The names of the parents match - he came from Scotland! I will just continue to dig. You have been an amazing help, and I appreciate it so much. A person "meets" the kindest people on a message board!!
