A Maria Cowherd is on 1911 census in St Thomas Elgin County as mother in law, b Sept 1828 England, immigrated 1850. She is with a Harriet and William Murray.

This is more likely yours- Maria Cowherd Sept 1829, 82, England is with Christina and William John Chapman in Acton Halton County. Can't read the immigration date.

She is not on 1921 census.
