Edgar was living with brother William and wife Olive and family on1891 census in Biddulph. He was single.

1911 census Edmonton Alberta has a Michael Boyd b Ontario April 1856. He is living with son William, b Ont April 1880, Caroline b USA. William is brakeman on railway.

1921 census has a Michael Boyd in Hay River Alberta b 1856 Ontario and he is single.

On 1871 census Ontario there is Gibson Michael 33, George 32 and Phebe 26 living about 4 doors away from the Boyds. Mary's relatives? Men were born Ireland, Phebe b Ontario.
Michael is still in Biddulph on 1891 census, farmer, single.

Possible Gibson parents for Mary Boyd. This follows the Irish naming system.

First son named after father's father [unknown]; first daughter named after mother's mother [Elizabeth]; second son named after mother's father [Michael]; second daughter named after father's mother [Ann -according to 1851 census].
Of course these names are all very common.
The Gibsons and Boyds aren't living that far apart.

1851 census Biddulph
Michal, Ireland, 55
Elizabeth, 46, Ireland
James, 23, Ire
Benjamin, 21, Ire
Elizabeth, 19, Ire
Michael, 14, Ire
George, 12, Ire
Ann, 11, Canada
Jean, 8, Canada
Lorinda, 4, Canada

On 1861 census the Boyds and Gibsons are 2 families apart.

There are a lot of Gibson in St George's Anglican Cemetery Middlesex. I think Michael and Elizabeth are there and possibly Benjamin.
