I have two sets of Blackburns in my ancestry. 1. Robert Blackburn (b. 1827), and wife Mary Ann French, who settled in Canada. 2. James Blackburn (b. 1836) (younger brother of Robert) and wife Georgiana May Cooke, who settled in the US, mainly upper Michigan. These trace back to Lochwinnoch, Renfrew, Scotlan; and Kilbarchan, Renfrew Cty, Scotland. One set of Blackburns came from Cambusland, Lanark Cty, Scotland. The Canadians settled in Ottawa, Ontario and Cantley, Hull Township, Quebec. The US settled in Milwaukee and various places in Michigan. The line traces back to around 1751.
