Re: Martin
Hi I am interested in your Henry MartinI...I believe he may be a brother/ cousin relative of my Richard Martin and would love to learn more
I have no proof that my Richard and Henry where related.. but the strong coincidence are there
Henry born abt. 1790 Wexford, Ireland
Richard born abt 1799 wexford, Ireland
Henry living on Con. 11 lot # 3
Richard living on Con. 11 lot # 4 ( 1861 census )
My Richard is buried @ Boyd Cemetery which I have as Lot 2, con. 12 Lanark Twp.
Henry is buried @ St John's Anglican Cemetery which is Concession 12 Lot 1
Looks like 2 cemeteries side by side then ? or do I have it wrong.
I don't know when my Richard came to Canada...and I am not sure when Henry did either looks like as adults .
In once place I noticed for Henry they put as address Lot 3, con. 11, Innisville, Lanark in another spot I saw address as Boyd's Settlement, Innisville, Drummond Twp. Lanark.
I think I had ( in my head) that Boyd's Settlement & Innisville where two separate places.... now I'm thinking they are one and the same just phrased differently... what do you think?
In The Perth Courier July 27th 1883 this death notice was place. “ At Innisville, on 20th July, Mrs. Maria Martin relict of the late Richard Martin, aged 81 years.”
I don't know all the siblings....... but I believe there is Lucinda, Mary Jane and Lavina ( my great great grandmother)
any information on any of the above greatly appreciated
Thanks
