Reading over Bath/Ernestown info....I wonder if Jane Ann was a sister to Dr. Roderick Kennedy, also of Ernestown? He was born 1822 at Cumberland House to Alexander Kennedy and Mary Bear. Was Mary a native woman? Because he was a famous doctor (for that time and place) and came from a fairly well known and accomplished family, someone must have a complete genealogy of his family. Other than that, I have no idea who she could be. I would try tracking the Laird family as well, to see where they came from before they were living at Bath. John McKay Laird is also listed as John McCoy Laird, and was the son of Peter Laird and Eve or Eva Davy- she the daughter of John Davy & Sophia Huffnail or Huffnagle.
