Hi Susan,

Apologies for the delay in responding. Your info on Henry Kitchen as later husband to Hannah Woodage has proved very useful. I now know that in the census of 1891 Hannah is noted as living at 5, Stoneley Road, Tottenham with her son, Joseph Kitchen (aka Oliver), aged 11. Hannah's age is given as 30 yrs which is wrong. Henry was not with them, presumably at sea. In 1901 they were living at 12 Albert Place,Tottenham with Henry described as 42 years old and a mariner and his stepson as Joseph S B Kitchen working as a furrier. Hannah was an assistant wet nurse. In 1911, Hannah and Henry lived at 76 Bruce Castle Road, Tottenham. Henry is listed as a gardener-non domestic.Hannah died in 1930. So a few gaps filled in!

Joseph married my g grandmother, Mabel Caroline Castle on 7 April 1903 and my grandmother, Mabel Vera was born in December 1903.

Regards

Ben
