I am trying to complete my family tree and have come to a roadblock regarding my grandmother Alvaretta Mary Stevens.
I believe she may have been born in Niagara Township around Virgil as she had many cousins and aunts who lived in the area. She was the wife of Oscar Yates of Niagara-on-the-Lake and the mother of Truman Yates of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
I don't know her mothers first or maiden name but believe she died young as my grandmother and her siblings were brought up in Niagara and Grantham Townships by aunts (Jane Vanderlip, Bert Steele and ? Slingerland). I Also do not know her father's first name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Both her and her husband are buried in Victoria Lawn Cemetary in St. Catharines.
