I have just obtained out family tree information (written) from my aunt, and have started entering in a tree on the Ancestry.com site (Gibson / Hand Family Tree).
Family memory has my grandfather (Peter Herkless Gibson, 1898-1981) being born in Sherkston Beach area (near the area you are asking about - Wellandport). Information from my Grandmother has his father as Peter Gibson (we have no birth/death info) being married to Arvilla Robins (1862 - 1933) who subsequently re-married, last name Dell.
Do you have any more information?
