From your list of surnames, I see you are interested in WALES (WHALES). My GGrandfather was Michael WALES, son of James WHALES and Elisa SHELLY . James was born in England and Elisa was living in Halifax, N.S. at the time of Michael's marriage. Michael dropped the 'h' in his surname or at least the enumerator did at the time of the 1901 PEI census. I have had no success in tracing any WALES or WHALES in Canada so far. James and Elisa had three children I am aware of: James E, Michael D, and Thomas.
