Hi Carol,
I saw your message posted Sept. 2008 regarding the Adams family and also mention of the Sherks. I wondered if my Adams were related to your families. Sherks and Kelly's also pop up in my tree. I am especially interested in John Adams, native of the Kingdom of Ireland who was born circa 1772. His wife's name was Margaret and she died Jan. 19, 1843. They first located near Albany New York where I believe their family was born: David abt.1794, William abt. 1800, James Dec.1, 1801, Calvin Winslow, June 15, 1806, Reuben abt. 1808, and Catharine, abt. 1813. John Adams took the oath of Allegiance before Colonel Talbot,July 9, 1819 at Port Talbot. They were farmers in Elgin County. James initially was a Tailor. All the sons are buried in Aylmer Cemetery but I can not locate the burial sites for John or his wife, Margaret. I can neither find the death date for John, sometime before March 4, 1863 when his will was instrumented.
I would appreciate any help you could lend.
Regards Susan
