I just found you Post , William Brock is my Great, Great Grandfather, his daughter Ester married
William's brother James. His name was Alfred. That make me double related on both sides of the Brock's. Ester and Alfred's daughter and son married a brother and a sister. The brother and sister were Mcleod's from Bayfield Ontario, so double related there.
I am very interested in the manuscript of reflections made by Charles my sister and I are researching the Brock's and we have quite a bit of history. We just found out that James Sr. was a Red Coated Plough Boy in York between 1813 -1815. We are pretty sure that James Sr. dad was Francis Brock from Ireland, we know our James was born in the USA in 1794, and this is the same time as the birth of Francis's James, but because James wasn't in Francis Will this other person we got in touch with think he died., None of the of the older sons were in the will
do you know if in the manuscript is there any information on who William's grandfather was.
