Diane & Mary,
Here is my dilemma:
My great grandmother Lucinda Clara Campbell was born in Colborne, Northumberland County on July 20, 1840. According to her 1923 death certificate, she was the daughter of John Campbell and Rachel Van Miclkins (Wicklin)(b 1808). Oral history says when Lucinda's father died and when in her teens she went to Wentworth County to live with her aunt Lucy (Campbell) Davis, wife of Gilbert Davis. Lucy was the daughter of Cornelius & Elizabeth Campbell. So far the only John Campbell left for me to connect to is Oliver and Catherine's son John who was born in 1776 and that would have him 32 years older than Rachel & age 64 at the time of Lucinda's birth. Unfortunately, other than his year of birth, there seems to be little known of Oliver & Catherine's son John. So I keep searching!
