I can take this family back several generations and also, in some cases, forward. Murdoch MacCuish was a first cousin of my father. The family was originally from North Uist in the Western Isles of Scotland (from where all persons with the surname "MacCuish" originally emanate). I have records on EVERY person born North Uist before 1910 who appears in any surviving North Uist record.
