On 1901 census Woodstock there is a Maria B Kelly, boarder, 27 May 1873. Looks like the above Maria Beatrice with birth year out by 2 yrs but that isn’t unusual.

Death: Geo H Kelly of Woodstock, died in Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane, 46, b 1884, missionary, at place of death: 1 week, Father: Elbert Moses Kelly b Onandaga, mother: Margaretta Hewitt, b Eastwood, Informant: Ralph Rumball of Grimsby, no relation to the deceased, burial: Woodstock, died 8 Apr 1930 of apoplexy and was living at Nakina. There was an autopsy on 9 Apr 1930.

Death: Margaretta Kelly, died 1 Jan 1933, b Blandford, 2 Dec 1849, 84yrs2mths30 days, father: William Hewitt, mother: Sarah Wilkins both b England, Informant: Miss M Kelly, daughter of 34 Norwich Ave , burial: Anglican Cemetery, died of jaundice & senility. Woodstock, Oxford County.
Looks like Mary never got married.
That, I think, is all I can find on family of Elbert & Margueretta.

Another Jonathan Kelly, 73, died 27 July 1906 of paralytic stroke, Informant: Earlen Kelly. Ancaster, Wentworth County. [This isn’t yours! Father was Jonathan Kelly but mother was Mary Elizabeth Weaver]
Looks like the first Jonathan Kelly might be husband of Madilla.

Alpheus Sr and Alpheus Jr are on 1881 census in Michigan. So that takes care of Alpheus Jr.

Sorry, this is really disjointed but am just putting stuff down as I find it.
1901 census there is a Madilla Canada, b 3 May 1841, married to Timothy Canada, b 11 Nov 1839, Ireland, retired farmer, in Ancaster, Wentworth County. Think the name should be Kennedy. They are also on1911 census.
That is where Madilla and Jonathan Kelly lived.
I THINK this could be your Madilla’s remarriage:
Madilla Kelly, 56, widow, b Canada, living Ancaster Wentworth, married Timothy Kennedy, 66, widower, b Ireland, s/o Elizabth & Wm Kennedy. 17 Mar 1897, Wentworth County.
Madilla’s parents are given as Stephen & Maria Kelly.


I looked at the original film and it does says Stephen. How many people are named Madilla Kelly? Not many!
