Did not find any Nettie Shorter on it.
I had a second look on the passenger lists and Ethel's age could be 23 and not 28 as I said earlier. If that was the case, Ethel could well be Nettie.
I didn't find any other of their Shorter family on any passenger list but they are far from complete.
Did not see either of the brother on WW1 Attestation papers for Canada but they were a bit too old for that war.
1901 census St Mary Berkshire, Ethel is 13 and Mabel is 20.
There is also a Wm James 29, and Herbert 15.

This is likely Herbert in 1911.
Herbert Clarke Shorter, 25, born Reading Berkshire, is assistant to a licensed victualler manager William Alfred Spelvey in St Andrew Holborn above St George the Martyr in Londond.
On Callum House Family Tree on Ancestry.ca Herbert's death is given as 1938 in Greater London. Parents as William Shorter 1849-1907 and Ellen Hughes 1848 - no death date.
The tree doesn't have any more information in either Mabel or Ethel.
