Thank-you for replying.....I am researching my gggrandparents Dennis and Johanna (Dillon) McCarthy who emigrated with the Peter Robinson settlers in 1825 to Douro. Two of their daughters married Torpey brothers.....Mary married Michael Torpey (son of Wm. Torpey and Mary Fitzgibbon) in 1832 and Mary's sister Ellen married John. I read where you are looking for information on the Torpey family and I will gladly help you if I can. I have quite a bit of information on both Torpey families.
