The Wycotts of the Picton area have been documented by David Taylor at the Prince Edward County Archives in Picton, Ont. Francis Wycott, Treasury Loyalist, procured his Freemasonry certificates in London, England before immigrating in 1792. These parchment certificates are held in the PE Co archives. I have extensively researched Francis & Mary Wycott and their descendents in Kingston, Odessa, and Picton. While only a bachelor, Francis Wycott was one of the heterogenous group of Treasury sponsored immigrants to Upper Canada in 1792. I am slowly developing biographical sketches of the hundred families. We need to swap details.
