Joe GODIN married Matilda MORRISEAU. George GODIN married Mary Jane MORRISEAU. They lived in the Kenora & Rainy River district. Jonathon MORRISEAU was born at Lake St. Joseph in the Patricia District in 1827. He had five brothers and two sisters. Jonathon was a guide & boatman for the Wolseley expedition and later became a lighthouse keeper on Lake of the Woods. Walter RICKEFS also was a lighthouse keeper in the Morson, Ont. area. Many of the Morriseau family were employed by the Hudson Bay Co., with Jonathon & Michael MORRISEAU managing the HBC "Hungry Hall" at the mouth of the Rainy River for many years. Siblings of Jonathon MORRISEAU were his twin, Jacob, and Joe, Michael, Battice, Paddy, Matilda and Ellen.
