Hi David - thank you for sharing this information. Per Tyrell linkage - Frank Charles Tyrell son Harriet Newton and Henry William Tyrell married Irene Augusta Kelly (dau of Charles Michael Kelly and Sara Anne Sullivan) on 28 October 1919 in Ottawa, Ontario. Frank was employed as a Queen's printer and a very successful photographer (see National Archives). He lived at 156 Turner street - and Irene (known as Queenie) lived at 378 Cooper at time of marriage. Queenie was a Milliner by trade. I understand the moved to 298 James Street after. They were married at St. Patricks, but Frank was not Catholic. I have the marriage excerpt from the register. They had three sons - Ross (Rosie)Tyrell(played hockey Montaguards) Brian Tyrell, (Tyrell Press), and George Stanley Tyrell. My sister is married to one of Rosie (Ross) sons. Rosie died 16 October 2006 in Florida. Oral history has it that Queenie suffered from mental or emotional illness and was institutionalized later in her life. She died 14 Jan 1950 and is buried in Ottawa at Notre Dame cemetery.

Per SLIMSER link - My grandfather Paternal Roy Willis O'Neil, was the son of Edward O'Neil and Almira Kyer. Almira's sister Sophie Agnes Kyer married Stanley Silmser 19 April 1887 in Cornwall, Ontario. Their daughter (they have 9 children as my records indicate) Althea married Ernie Whitford - son of James EDWARD Whitford and Eliza Speck - who was sister to my Grandfather Roy Willis O'Neil's first wife - Gertrude May Whitford. The Whitford line descends from an escaped slave Jacob Whitford (died in 1843 in Cornwall, Ontario - married to Elizabeth Baker - her brother John Baker was known as the last slave in Canada. Back to Silmser - I have some of the marriages and children information per Stanley and Sophia Kyer. My tree is posted free on www.rootsweb.com so you may want to punch a few of these names in and trace along what I have - contact me direct through roots (address is there) and I would be pleased to send you records I have.
