Priscilla,
Contact me at catherineacampbell@hotmail.com I have all sorts of info on where John Noble lived from the time he was a child until he died, incl. actual lot numbers. Yes, the Campbells originally settled in Simcoe Co. (Oro), but spent some time farming in Perth Co. (near Listowel) when J.N. was a child, later returning to Simcoe (Dunedin, Nottawasaga twp), then Manitoulin, then Copper Cliffe, then Sudbury, then back to Simcoe (Alliston), where he died. He's buried in Dunedin. (this is off the top of my head, so the sequence may be off a bit). It's certainly been a challenge tracking them, but the name John Noble (vs just John) helped me a lot. Until I started doing the genealogy, we all thought that the family came from Scotland (of course, they probably went to Ireland from Scotland at some point). I am really hoping to be able to find out where in Ireland they came from as I would like to visit that country sometime.
Cheers,
I'm off to work,
Catherine
