Jerry,
I had a follow-up question for you. You had mentioned back in Decemeber that Richard Stephens' second wife, Catherine McEwen was the daughter of Alexander McLean and Catherine Buie. I was just wondering where you obtained that information and if you could pass it on to me. I have been trying to figure Catherine out for a while and actual have 3 differnet sets of parents for her. On her marriage she listed Malcolm McEwen and Catherine. On her death it is listed as Neil McEwen and u/k mother and then you have given me Alexander McLean & Catherine Buie. I have found Catherine with a Buie family on 1851 Grey County Census, this is what made me this that the Buie connection maybe true.
