I've replied privately as well. However, I see some connections in your listings (I must admit I haven't been back here in 3 years).
Charles Henry Fountain claimed that his father was a blacksmith and that they were 'horse thieves' as well. But, if this was just my grandfather telling tales to entertain his grandchildren I don't know.
I still have a connection to Donna (one of my aunts) and have asked her if she recalls names of anyone.
I remember that my grandmother Edith (Charles wife) said that they lived on a farm up north and that is where she met my grandfather. Fenelon Falls would be considered up north to someone living in Toronto. And the blacksmith connection would certain fit with the other portion of the tales told.
I go up through Fenelon Falls every August on a trip I make to New Liskeard. Any information about where to stop and have a look around would be appreciated. I have a very clear memory of a photograph my grandmother had of the farm. Perhaps I might be able to place it. I am also asking who has these items and maybe able to make copies.
