I am researching the 2nd York Militia, also known as the Burlington Heights Militia, which was under the command of Col. Richard Beasley at the time of the War of 1812. Other Beasleys also served in this regiment. Does anyone have a family tree for this family so that I can work out the relationship between Richard, David, and Henry Beasley? Richard Beasley married Henrietta Springer and farmed on Burlington Heights and Dundurn Park. When did Richard arrive in this area and where did he come from? Other biographical material would be helpful.
