I'm looking for any information regarding the JEFFERESS (JEFFRESS)family.
Richard Jefferess born 1861, Seaham, Co Durham, England
Martha Jefferess born abt 1863 (unknown - England)
Frank John Ewing Jefferess born abt 1894, Jamaica
Stanley Rowland Jefferess born about 1897, Jamaica
Allan Jefferess born about 1903, Jamaica

Facts that I've discovered to date........
This family left Jamaica about 1903 and travelled to Canada via Ellis Island.
In the 1911 Canada census they are living in Hamilton, Ontario.
Stanley Rowland Jefferess married Edythe Maud Vaughan in 1922
Frank John Ewing Jefferess married Janetta Craig in about 1924
Frank and his wife Janetta (Craig) were buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Middlesex County, Ontario in 1968 and 1976 respectively.

Stanley Rowland Jefferess may have been a lawyer or a Q.C.

I have no idea what happened to Allan Jefferess

Richard Jefferess (1860) was originally married to Martha Foyle but in the mid - 1920's he married Mary Ethelwyn McLaughlin who was of Irish descent but born in Jamaica

The last record that I have of Richard Jefferess is in 1939 at the Canada to US border crossing when it is possible that he was either intending to visit Jamaica or return there to live.
Any further information about this family or their descendants would be really appreciated.
