William and Irena Kelley Applegarth are my grt-grt grandprnts. This line of the Applegarths went east to Michigan (and many are still there today.) They married in 1846 in Glencoe Ontario, went to Wabasha Minnesota in 1857. In 1866 went to Newaygo, Michigan. In 1870 census, William (Physician) and Irena with children Eliza, Mabel, Cordelia, Jane and my grt grandfather, Grant. William had a son, Henry William with his first wife, Eliza Dowlin. Irena and William also had 3 sons not listed in the 1870 census with them: Robert, Joshua and James who died in childhood. Write to me if this side of the family is of interest to you.
