Hi,

I am searching informations on my great-grand mother's family.

According to my mother and aunt, my great-grand-mother was an indian that has lost all her right when she married a white man. I cannot find her on any census before her marriage in 1894. In the Census of 1901, she was already married and had my grand mother as a child and is considered as a french canadian.

Here's all the information that I have on her.

Henriette Thibault born around 1876-1878 daughter of Joseph Thibault and Julienne Boudreau married with Thomas Gauthier in Matane, Quebec October 10, 1894.

What I want to know : is my great-grand-mother an indian, if yes from which tribe. All the informations on her family.

I cannot trace her parent and I dont know where to look to find those informations.
