Hi, I'm doing research on the Gillespie family as part of a wider project on the history of music in Cork during the 19th century. So you know if your William Gillespie was a musician? Other members of the family ran music shops, and there was also an organ tuner. Catherine Gillespie ran a music shop in cork in 1845, for example. I'd be delighted to hear from you regarding this family.
