My mother Helen Marshall was born on September 20, 1926 in Thetford Mines, I know she lived in Sherbrooke Quebec as a young girl. Does anyone have any genealogical records that would help me. Her father was Everett Marshall and her mothers maiden name was Bertha (Emma) Henderson.

Thetford Mines is currently in the MRC of L'Amiante in Chaudiere Appalaches. Historically it was in Megantic County. Church records are available from 1886-1925 from the only parish there during that time, St-Alphonse.

Looking for information on a family listed in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Black Lake/Thetford Mines area. They are James McKnight died Nov 19, 1868 and Ellinor McComb-McKnight died Oct 23, 1881 age 93 among others. I am looking into the possibilty that they are parents of my gg grandfather Andrew McKnight born in 1817 County Down, Ireland and later went to Quebec Canada and then to Wisconsin, USA, leaving his parents behind. Looking for contemporary timed marriage of Emil Lessard and Yvonne Jacques, possibly this county KINGSVILLE VILLAGE. After 1925 estimated to be about 1926 based upon census evidence of the family in Lowell, MA and in NH USA.

Father of Emil is Richard Lessard and mother is Emma Garneau. Lived Kingsville 1901 Emmigrated to US before date of 1910 census. Emil left US before the 1920 census and returned after his marriage / before 1930 census.

Family of Emil lived Thetford Mines from sometime after 1930 to about 1943.

I have the marriage register for Megantic County that includes Thetford Mines. Parishes of Megantic for the period include:
St. Ferdinand d'Halifax (Bernierville), St. Desire Lac Noir (Black Lake), St. Pierre Broucton, Coleraine, Inverness, Laurierville, Leeds, Lyster, Notre Dame-de-Lourdes, Plessissville, Pontbriand, Robertsonville, Sacre Coeur-de-Marie, St. Adrien d'Irlande, St. Jean Baptiste Vianney, St. Pierre Baptiste, and at Thetfordmines the parishes of St. Alphonse and St. Maurice.
